Streamax eSIM
Streamax eSIM/Data pools

One pool, shared by the whole fleet.

Per-SIM allowances strand data: one camera runs out while fifty sit half-used. Every Streamax data plan pools instead — the constraint is the fleet total, never the individual device.

Two ways to buy

Dynamic pool or static pool.

They behave identically day to day — devices share, nothing is capped individually. They differ in one thing: whether the pool follows your device count.

Default

Dynamic pool

You pick an allowance per device per month — 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 GB. The pool is that allowance times the number of devices, and it re-sizes itself every time a device joins.

Q = a × x
a = GB per device per month
x = devices on the account
Q = the shared monthly pool
  • Add 40 vehicles at 3 GB and the pool grows by 120 GB — no order, no re-quote.
  • A heavy device is balanced by the quiet ones, automatically.
  • One predictable number per device per month for budgeting.
Committed volume

Static pool

You buy a fixed block of data for the month — not per device, but for the account as a whole. The pool is whatever you bought, and it stays there however many devices you connect.

Q = d
d = GB per month, bought up front
x = devices sharing it
Q = the shared monthly pool
  • Known volume, known invoice, regardless of fleet changes.
  • Cost per device falls as more devices share the same block.
  • Adding devices does not add data — watch the headroom.

How the pool is sizedPer-device allowance a, multiplied by the number of devices: Q = a × xA single block you buy outright: Q = d GB per month
Per-device capNone. Any device may exceed a.None. Any device may use as much as it needs.
What is actually limitedThe total across every device on the account in one billing cycle. The total across every device on the account in one billing cycle.
Adding devices mid-termThe pool grows automatically — each new device adds a GB.The pool does not move. You buy more separately if you need it.
Cost behaviour as the fleet growsLinear. Cost per device stays flat.Flat. Cost per device falls as devices are added to the same block.
Best whenThe fleet is growing or the device count is uncertain, and you want one predictable number per device per month. The device count is stable and you would rather commit to a known volume and a known invoice.

Worked example

3 GB per device, and the pool follows the fleet.

A dynamic pool at 3 GB per device per month. Nothing is re-quoted when the fleet changes — the pool simply is the allowance times the device count.

1 device1 × 3 GB3 GB
10 devices10 × 3 GB30 GB
11 devices+1 device = +3 GB33 GB
250 devices250 × 3 GB750 GB

Data is shared fleet-wide. No stranded per-SIM allowances, no manual top-ups — and a vehicle that uploads three collisions in a week does not have to be rescued by hand.

What happens over the line

Usage above the pool is not cut off — it is billed as overage at the destination's published overage rate — at or just above the in-pool rate, depending on the country. Alerts and caps in FT Cloud let you decide long before that matters.

Which one should you take?

Growing or uncertain fleet → dynamic; the pool keeps pace on its own. Stable fleet with a known appetite → static; you commit to the volume and your cost per device drops as you add vehicles to it.

Buying it

Pick the pool, pay by card, done.

Data plans are bought in FT Cloud, next to the vehicles they feed — not through a quote, a purchase order and a two-week wait. Choose the pool and the tier, pay with a card, and the pool is live on the next cycle.

01

Pick the pool

Dynamic, so it grows with the fleet — or a static block you buy outright.

02

Pick the tier

1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 GB per device per month, or a block from 250 GB up.

03

Pay by card

A Stripe checkout inside FT Cloud. No purchase order, no email thread.

04

The pool goes live

From the start of the next cycle, and renews until you change it.

What that changes

  • A tier change is a click, not a contract. Move between tiers cycle to cycle without re-papering anything.
  • Growth bills itself. Add devices to a dynamic pool and the pool re-sizes; the next invoice already reflects it.
  • One place for the money. Card, receipts and invoices sit with your subscription, next to the usage they paid for.
  • No procurement round-trip to add 40 vehicles in the middle of a month.

Try the whole flow

The FT Cloud demo on this site runs the real sequence — pick the pool, pick the tier, choose the destination, and watch the pool and the monthly total recalculate. Then go through the checkout.

Checkout is shown as specified. Confirm what is enabled in your own FT Cloud tenant with your Customer Success Manager.

Next step

Tell us the routes, we will size the pool.

Send the countries you operate in, the device count, and the footage each vehicle uploads per day. You get back a pool size, a landed price per device per month, and a coverage read for every country on the list.

Published rates are list. Volume, contract term and a multi-region footprint are all worth putting in front of your Customer Success Manager or Business Development Manager before you build a budget from them.

What to send us

  • Countries and, if they cross borders, the routes.
  • Device count now and at 12 months.
  • Device model and whether the SIM is soldered or a plug-in.
  • Typical upload per vehicle per day, and what triggers a clip.
  • Anything non-standard: private APN, fixed IP, VPN, IMEI lock.
